Please Note - After twenty years of holding the F.I.A.T. parties, my partner and I have hung up our gloves and closed the F.I.A.T. playroom. Parties ceased in May 2012. The torch has been passed and is waiting for someone to pick it up.
F.I.A.T., started in 1995, is a group of men whose interest is in safe and sane fisting/handball and dungeon play activity. In order to achieve this, F.I.A.T. holds monthly play parties at which everyone from beginners to experts at fisting and dungeon activities are welcome. Gloves and individual containers of lube are provided. Parties are held on the second Saturday of each month (FF) and the fourth Saturday (dungeon) of selected months. Members of TRUST, MAFIA, FFA, TOUCH and other handball groups are welcome.

General Information
F.I.A.T. (Fisters In Action Toronto) has been hosting regular fisting play parties since 1995, on the second Saturday of each month except during July and August. There is also a special party on the Saturday of Pride Weekend. FIAT also hosts fetish parties for those interested in a combination of a wider variety of fetish play. Members may be gay or bisexual men only.
F.I.A.T. provides snacks and drinks (but BYOB), and fisting peripherals (lube, gloves, underpads, wash-up items, etc.). Bring a towel, anal toys, and other preferred items.
There are usually from thirty to thirty-five players so one needs to be open to the dynamics of a large gathering. Smaller parties or more private sessions are often arranged so that the "shy" novice can grow into the larger gathering. The gatherings themselves are very social with lots of easy talk and easy play, lots of laughter, no attitude. The playroom is designed for fun, safety, ambiance, comfortability with many play areas for both public and more private sessions with a variety of equipment. Age ranges are from early twenties to sixties with most guys in the 35 to 45 range, all sizes and shapes from buffed to bears, and experience levels from total novice to mentor. Indeed, there is a lot of mentoring that goes on so that the novice need not feel at all out of place. There are always new people at our parties; first-time participants are not under obligation to play. Rides are arranged to and from the party for those who do not have transportation.
The Playroom
The playroom is a well designed space which pays detailed attention to safety and first aid, cleanliness, ambiance, music, equipment, lighting and other factors which contribute to comfortable, fun sexual activities. We take our hosting responsibilities seriously, and our house rules make it clear that only safe, sane and consensual activity is permitted. No barebacking is allowed: condoms must always be used when fucking, and gloves when fisting, and there is no sharing of anal toys. There are no exceptions. We built the playroom and began hosting parties because we were unable to find a regular play party that paid consistent attention to the above details.
The entire space is divided into four sections: the playroom, a changing area, a social/sitting space and a "canteen". The basement playroom itself comprises a variety of home-designed/built and commercially purchased equipment including sling frames and slings, stocks, rimming chair, fuck/bondage table, fuck/fist bench, bondage frames and related equipment, toys, benches, stools, mirrors, mattresses and other items. There is also a complete wash-up area with two sinks and all the necessary paraphernalia. Between the playroom and the sitting area is a small home gym which is used as a changing space. Two complete washrooms are on the first floor and a complete washroom adjacent to the playroom.
The social area comfortably sits twenty-six persons, heated during the winter with an efficient wood stove. There is an entertainment centre for videos, and various pieces of art for ambiance.
The canteen stores all the soft drinks, snacks, liquor (BYOB) and other edible items which players often contribute to the party.
The hosts are always open to suggestions for improving the playroom, and many people have contributed both ideas and items to the space.
House Rules/Etiquette for Parties
1. Pre-Party Details
- a. The cost for the party, except for special occasion parties, is $25.
- b. A person who fails to cancel or is a "no-shows" is required to pay for the party he missed before attending another party.
- c. Cancellations are expected no later than 9pm Thursday evening before the party.
- d. If cancelling, please let both your hosts and your driver (if any) know.
- e. Let your hosts know your arrival time if after 9:00p.m.
- f. All those attending must be confirmed. Please do not spontaneously bring a friend without first checking with the hosts.
- g. The Waiting List is employed in strict priority as cancellations make spaces available.
2. If planning to wear leather/festishwear, please change after you arrive at the party.
3. Parties are from 8pm until 2am approximately. BYOB. Beverages and light snacks provided; no food is permitted in play areas.
4. The following fisting materials are provided: Crisco & J-lube; vinyl/latex medical gloves; paper towels; underpads, newspaper, bath towels; antibacterial & hand soap, salt, hydrogen peroxide, iodine solution.
5. The following play etiquette is mandatory:
- a. Bring your own douching equipment and toys.
- b. Footwear should be worn at all times.
- c. Gloves must always be worn when fisting.
- d. Please no barebacking; use condoms when fucking.
- e. If using your own lube container, please identify it clearly.
- f. Before playing, clean sling and area using bleached cloths.
- g. After playing, clean up your partner, the sling and area using bleached cloths; wash thoroughly using antibacterial soap, salt, or hydrogen peroxide; put washable items into the laundry bin, other items in trash
- h. You are permitted to watch others play, but ask permission before you join their play.
- i. Cigarette smoking is permitted only in the garage.
